Custom Wood Re-Fininshing
To be able to determine if the door needs maintenance or re-finishing, we need to inspect if there are any crackles, bubbles or if the actual finish is pealed. If any of these things are present, that means the finish of the door is too deteriorated and you need to do a re-finishing instead of a maintenance on the wood.
- The refinishing process begins by removing the door piece by piece. Then we secure the home with 2x4 and plywood.
- We bring the doors to our warehouse, remove every piece of hardware and cover all the glass (if present).
- We initialize the stripping to remove all the stain and varnish with industrial removers.
- We sand the doors and wash them with lacker thinner to decontaminate.
- From this point we start the CUSTOM FINISH PROCESS.
- We sand the doors, seal the bottom to avoid water to go thru it in the future.
- Apply stains and the finish required by the customer.
- We install all the hardware again, bring the door back to the house and re-install it.
This process could take between 2 and 5 days depending on the size of the door.
